Description:
One-year post-baccalaureate nurse resident program. Comprised of 6-week learning units focused on chronicity, patient education, pain management, patient safety and quality improvement. Involves experiential learning in non-hospital based settings with clinical rotations to various sites. Utilizes a multi-disciplinary team-teaching approach with learning experiences to foster critical thinking, problem-based and reflective learning.

2. Covenant Healthcare and Marquette University

Description:
One-year post-baccalaureate residency program focused on acute medical-surgical nursing. Involves structured activities and learning modules targeted to medical-surgical nursing concepts and theory, clinical judgment, critical thinking, and technical skills. Residents are supported through unit-based preceptors and monthly learning sessions. Utilizes a multi-disciplinary team-teaching approach to promote development of clinical judgement, psychomotor skills, theoretical knowledge and interpersonal skills.

Senior Clinical Synthesis Experience
3. Theda Clark Hospital/Children’s Hospital of

Description:
Implementation of a “Clinical Focus Experience” during the senior year. Experience involves 350 hours of preceptored clinical practice on a variety of units supported by online courses. Students earn course credits and are paid as nurse interns.
